Well, after all those lame dates and lack there of I went on the last couple of months, plus another guy blowing me off twice when we had planned dates (the first time because he was "sick"...ok, fine...so he could have been sick, but then the second time because he "had such a busy week he forgot"..which I have to say REALLY...WHO FORGETS THEY HAVE A DATE NO MATTER HOW BUSY THEY GET....Moron! When I got this text from him about forgetting our date, my response read back: "So let me get this straight...first you cancel because you are "sick" and now because you "forgot you had a date"...who forgets they have a date? Most people are excited about having a date! How about this...let's forget the whole thing, because I don't need some guy constantly blowing me off!" and that was the end of that!!), you could imagine how excited I was when I got a text out of nowhere from Mr. B (a few weeks ago) that asked me if I had plans for the third weekend of July, because he would be in Orlando for a wedding and wanted to see me! He told me it had been too long and that he couldn't wait to catch up! :)))))
OMG, my fun shoe had returned!!!! How I missed my make over booties so! I was ecstatic to see him...I checked to make sure I was off that weekend from both my jobs, got my cat's vet appointment moved up to earlier that week, and did tons of laundry all to prepare for this tremendous occasion (No! Not the wedding.....I meant shacking up with Mr. B!)!! Oh, and did I mention, I even got a Brazilian for the first time! That's right...a BRAZILIAN! I knew what this weekend was all about and Baby, I was going all out! (By the way...Brazilians don't hurt as much as I thought they would. I was actually really really anxious about the whole ass part, but it was actually the inner lips that hurt the most. Eek! But getting my ass waxed has to be on my top 10 awkward moments list, especially when they ask you to hold your own cheeks apart...I was like "Whaaaaa?")
Anyway, I packed all my cute langerie, including this gorgeous deep blue satin slip I had worn on my Bahamas cruise last November....Yes, use for all my lovely bra's and panties yet again!!! I packed the cute new black dress with heart patterns on it, I packed my new blouses and shorts, I packed my sexiest Victoria's Secret push up bathing suit...I was ready to go!
But as I approached Orlando (I was driving of course), the more and more nervous I got! It had been over 2 years since I had seen him....what if he looked different? What if I wasn't what he had expected...what if he was disappointed?!!!
Soon I was the airport, picking him up, and after the first few minutes it was back to the same old same old! We got to the hotel in no time, checked in, and set up camp! I, knowing that some guys are touchy about this and also not wanting to overwhelm him (since we had never stayed more than a night with each other/been in each others' presence for more than 24 hours and had to share a bathroom to get ready, etc), asked him if it was ok that I put my shower stuff in the shower and my toothpaste and tooth brush on the sink. He was totally fine with it! And so our weekend began...first by talking about all the new things going on in our lives...him just finishing getting his MBA, me pursuing my MS in Marine Biology, etc etc. Then discussing old times and mutual friends followed by a quick nap. And Mr. B totally spooned me....Wow! He was never really a cuddler! That nap was interrupted by a little welcome back to FL/Hello Derrr (Elvis Duran and the morning show anyone?) fuck. Yep...and it was as good as ever.....just how I remembered it! Best thing about Mr. B....he always always goes down on you before you move to the main attraction....also a catch 22, because you always have to go down on him before the main attraction (which I don't mind too much...you help me out, I'll help you out...but boy! Does my jaw get tired!).
After our little nap and grind, we went to Margaritaville (Yea City Walk!) for some drinks and to meet up with an old college friend of his, who I enjoyed thoroughly. His friend's girlfriend was also very nice! It was funny....the entertainment started as we sat down for our meal and the DJ asked if anyone knew the song that was playing...It was Journey's "Don't Stop Believing!" Of course I knew it!!!! So I raised my hand like a little girl in school who knows the answer, like "Oh oh! Me Meeeee!" and then I had to get up and sing it for everyone, which I was fine with...Karaoke queen over here!!!! But his friend's girlfriend was amazed by this. She was taking pictures and videos and even told me I was brave when I had finished my solo! I laughed to myself and thought: 'That's right...the only one here that knows me is Mr. B and since he and I had sung karaoke together, he knows I love to do this sort of thing!'
Mr. B's friend's girlfriend was so nice that she and another Disney employee got us in to the Animal Kingdom for free the next day, after spending the morning taking a dip in their pool! It was awesome! We went on the Everest ride, where I thought Mr. B was going to piss himself, because at one point we stopped in the cave (I had forgotten all about this since the last time I had been) and you saw the silhouette of the Yeti jump off the screen and then noises...like it was going to jump out. Mr. B and I were like "Where is it going to jump out from?! I think I hear noises over there! OMG!" and then we get shot backwards by the rollercoaster....awesome!!!!! We also saw the Lion King show, which was amazing...I would recommend it to anyone, followed by the Safari ride! Then it was time to get Mr. B back to the hotel, because he needed to get ready for his friend's wedding.
While he was at the wedding, which he RSVP'ed to 2 weeks prior and so they had no room for his date and almost no room for him, I ordered pizza, watched Indiana Jones movies, and waited for my friend Jocelyn and some of her Optometry peepz to get out of their conference. When they did, Mr. B and I met up with them (late!) to go dancing at Groove, which we got all us girls and Mr. B in for free (That's what happens when you travel with a pack of 6 hot girls!). What a night! Tequila shots, margaritas, and long islands....yep, it was great! Like old times...Mr. B and I dancing, me pulling him towards me by the tie he still had on from his wedding attire, yummy!
By the time we got back to the room, we were too beat to do anything else except shower (together of course) and sleep! Oh, but don't you worry, the next morning he got his before breakfast and then it was back to the airport for him and back to Ft. Lauderdale for me!
In a day and a half (not even really 2 full days) we had gotten it on 5 times...COUNT IT: 5!!!!! It was just what I needed indeed! When I showed up at work Monday my lower back and knees hurt and that's how I knew it had been a damn good weekend!!!
:::sigh::: Hope I get to see my fun shoes again and not in another 2 years! I love my booties...they make everything better!!! :)))
Until Next Time,
Reaching for Reefs
